We Built a Customer Support Directory That Looks Like 1998

Why our customer support directory is brutally functional

Customer Care Numbers, Escalation Emails and Nodal Officers for major Indian Brands, on One Page That Loads Fast

Modern websites are full of silky parallax scrolling, soft pastel gradients, and over-caffeinated chat-bots sliding into your screen to ask how their day can brighten yours. Precisely what our customer support directory for India tries to change.

When your washing machine starts violently vibrating across the floor or your inverter begins beeping like an angry submarine at 2 AM, you do not need an interactive multimedia experience. You need a working phone number, an escalation email that doesn’t bounce, and the contact details of someone with enough authority to actually solve your problem.

That is why we built simplyc2.com/brands/.

Let’s address the design immediately: it is un-apologetically, aggressively boring.

If you remember early Craigslist, text-heavy forum threads, or web directories designed during the dial-up era, you will feel right at home. In 2005 this is what it looked like. And the look even today, is almost similar, change is glacial!

What we learnt and implemented in our customer support directory

There are no bloated JavaScript animation libraries, zero floating widgets, and no stock photos of people pointing at laptops. It is organized with ruthless, boring clarity: brands/{brand-name}/{category type}. You pick the brand, you pick the product category, and you get the details.

We chose this look because dealing with post-sales support in India is already an extreme sport. First, you search online and accidentally call a sponsored ad for an unauthorized repair guy who insists he is the official technician. If you do find the genuine brand portal, you have to fight your way through an interactive labyrinth. Then tackle an IVR menu where “Press 9 to speak with an executive” plays tinny flute music for 45 minutes before disconnecting.

Our customer support directory strips away the theater. We are indexing what brands tend to bury behind six sub-menus. We show verified support channels, actual troubleshooting paths, and the escalation matrix—from regional service managers to nodal grievance officers.

Our directory will never win an award on a design showcase, and our style-sheet looks like a weekend grocery list. But when an appliance goes dead, the brand directory page will load instantly on a patchy mobile connection. Without demanding your email address just to show you a phone number. Go check it out—preferably before your mixer-grinder decides to smoke.
