Bata Footwear: troubleshooting and FAQs

Troubleshooting tips and frequently asked questions for Bata Footwear.

Troubleshooting tips

  • To remove scuff marks from leather shoes, gently rub with a soft cloth dipped in a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar, then wipe dry and apply a matching shoe polish.
  • If your Bata shoes have developed an unpleasant odor, sprinkle baking soda inside them and leave overnight. Shake out the powder in the morning and allow the shoes to air out in a well-ventilated area.
  • For stubborn stains on canvas shoes, create a paste of baking soda and water, apply it to the stained area, let it sit for 15 minutes, then scrub gently with a soft brush and rinse with cold water.
  • To prevent blisters from new leather shoes, apply a small amount of petroleum jelly to the inside of the shoe at pressure points and wear them with thick socks for a few hours to break them in gradually.
  • If the sole of your Bata shoe is separating from the upper, use a strong shoe glue (like Shoe Goo) to reattach it. Clean both surfaces, apply the glue, press firmly, and let it cure for 24 hours.
