We challenged a small core team with going from concept to live on a reasonably comlex project in one day.
You all are familiar with our app Simply C2 which is a customer portal in app. Simply C2 is an app which allows your customers to directly register complaints (post sales service requests) with you. Your service team receives a notification. Your customer receives an acknowledgement. We have it on the Google Playstore.
A client told us to have a web version. Because, among other reasons- he thought his customers are unlikely to download “yet another app”. For a task he will perform only once or twice in a year.
The client was in no hurry. But we were. We wanted to spec out the project, code, test and go live – all in one day.
Things are changing fast. Faster, much faster than we ever imagined even 6 months ago.
We wrote about our experience with NoCode platforms here. We did not want to use a NoCode platform but we were clear that we will need to use an AI code writer.
Concept to live in one day: but, it must be useful
Customer web portal project brief
The project brief we wrote after a 30 minutes discussion was delightfully short.
Customer portal brief:
- Must go live in one day- now it’s 11AM. Go live target 7 PM, today.
- Will use our existing APIs for logging “tickets”.
- Each existing Saleswah CRM for customer service (or Simply C2) client must get a standard URL of a pre-defined format which they can share with their customer base.
- Their customer can login from this portal and register complaints. The login must be OTP based- linked to a verified mobile number or e-mail address which our client has stored in their CRM “site-contact” database.
- The contact thus verified will ONLY be able to log complaints (tickets) related to the equipment installed on site.
- The OTP will be sent on email and/ OR WhatsApp.
- The ticket once raised will be acknowledged to the customer on WhatsApp.
Concept to live: What we built

We used Visual Studio with Co-Pilot for this. We split the work between 2 developers. For the entire work of writing secure code for the front-end, linking to existing login and authentication, website UI (yeah, it’s still quite basic, we know).
To see what we built, check out this article we published on Saleswah CRM website.
Even better, go to this URL, https://crm.saleswah.com/anwesham and log a trial complaint on us.
Best? Create a service CRM account on Simply C2 and let your customers experience superior customer service.
