Feature Comparison

Simply C2 vs. Jobber

Which is right for your service business? An honest, feature-by-feature look — including where we don't win.

Simply C2 is best for

Multi-technician service organizations

Companies with territory-based structure: service managers overseeing regions, tickets assigned and reassigned within teams, and serial-number-level warranty tracking across an installed base.

Jobber is best for

Small, single-location trade crews

Solo tradesmen up to small teams (roughly 5-15 techs) operating in one area, with one owner or dispatcher managing the whole schedule directly.

Jobber is a well-regarded, actively developed platform built for a specific kind of business: a small trades or home-service crew — plumbers, landscapers, HVAC techs — where one owner or office manager does all the scheduling and dispatching themselves. Its team plans scale up to about 15 technicians, with GPS-based nearest-technician assignment and shared scheduling, alongside genuinely good route optimization and a customer self-service portal called Client Hub.

Simply C2 is built for a structurally different kind of organization: companies where service work is managed through a territory hierarchy — sites grouped into geographic territories, each assigned to technicians who report to service managers, who can reassign tickets within their own team. That layer of delegated oversight is native to Simply C2 and doesn't really have an equivalent in Jobber, where all dispatch decisions flow through a single, flat scheduling view.

This isn't just an org-chart nicety — it's the difference between a business where the owner personally sees every job, and one where regional managers own their own patch of technicians and tickets, reporting up rather than everyone reporting to one dispatcher. If your business has grown past "one person can see the whole schedule," that's usually the point where Jobber's flat model starts to strain, and Simply C2's built-in hierarchy starts to matter.

To Jobber's credit, it does have a real customer-facing portal — Client Hub lets customers approve quotes, view job history, and pay invoices online, accessed via a passwordless link. But it's a general job-and-invoice portal, not a purpose-built complaints app: there's no native mobile app to log a specific equipment issue or chat directly with the assigned technician. Simply C2's complaints app is built specifically around that, and ties directly into the same territory-and-technician structure above it.

Where Simply C2 Clearly Wins

Territory-and-technician hierarchy, built in

Sites grouped into territories, assigned to technicians who report to service managers who can reassign within their team. Jobber's dispatch flows through one flat scheduling view.

Serial-number-level warranty & AMC tracking

Every piece of equipment is tied to its own warranty window, AMC contract, and service history. Jobber has no equipment/asset data model — it tracks jobs and clients.

A native app for logging complaints & chatting with technicians

Jobber's Client Hub is a web portal reached via one-time links, focused on quotes and invoices. Simply C2 gives customers an app they keep, built for logging issues and chatting with the technician.

Usage-based PM & calibration scheduling

Fixed-interval, variable/run-hour-based, or ad hoc — matched to equipment usage. Jobber's scheduling is job/appointment-based, not tied to equipment run-hours.

Installation tickets from a shipment event

Closes the loop from "shipped" to "installed and under warranty" automatically — built for equipment manufacturers and distributors, not general trades scheduling.

Built for India — pricing, WhatsApp, and language support

Jobber is priced for the US/Canada/UK market, with no free plan. Simply C2 is priced for India, with WhatsApp-native registration and multi-language chat support.

Where Simply C2 Does Not Win

Route optimization

Jobber has genuine route optimization — mapping visits and generating efficient, fuel-saving routes, with real-time adjustments as schedules change. Simply C2 does not currently offer this.

QuickBooks integration

Jobber connects natively to QuickBooks for syncing billing and customer records. Simply C2 doesn't currently have an accounting integration (our original QuickBooks plan was affected when they exited India).

AI-driven sales & marketing tools

Jobber's AI Receptionist answers calls and texts to capture leads, and its AI Marketing Suite generates campaigns from simple prompts — sales-and-marketing automation Simply C2 doesn't offer.

Client Hub's breadth for the job lifecycle

Not equipment-focused, but Client Hub lets customers request new work, approve quotes, and pay invoices online in one place — a smooth general job-and-payment experience.

Market maturity in its home markets

Jobber has a long track record and strong reputation specifically among North American and UK trades businesses.

If you're a small trades or home-service crew — up to around 15 technicians, one dispatcher seeing the whole schedule — in the US, Canada, or UK, and need strong scheduling, route optimization, and a general customer portal for quotes and invoices, Jobber is a proven, well-built choice. If your business has grown into territory-based structure — service managers overseeing regions, tickets assigned and reassigned within teams — and needs equipment lifecycle tracking with a real complaints app, Simply C2 is purpose-built for that, and built for India.
